For many it's a dream come true. After a ride of approximately half an hour we arrive at the territory of our most loyal friends. The dogs can't wait to show you what they can do and they will take you 10 kilometres through their homeland.
Before you can step on your own sled, you'll get instructions on how to handle the sled, how to brake and how to treat the dogs properly. Then you pair up and choose your team of 5 to 6 dogs who will take you across the finish line.
After the adventurous ride you get a hot cup of berry juice in a typical Finnish hut.
Because the wind on this parcours can be quite cold, you'll receive a thermal balaclava, hat, jacket, pants and gloves.
Husky dogs love running in the snow, but in their never-ending enthusiasm, they often get little wounds on the bottom of their feet. That's why they get warm socks around their paws to protect them.
