Lapland Holiday Specialist Since 2010
We offer 4 awesome activities as standard, which are included in your trip to Lapland: a husky safari, snowmobile tour, snowshoe hike, & northern lights experience.
For many, a dream come true. After a ride of about half an hour, we arrive in the territory of these enthusiastic four-legged friends. The dogs are eager to show us what they can do and take us 10 kilometers through their area.
Before you hop on your own sled, you'll receive instructions on how to steer the sled, how to brake, and how to handle the dogs. Then, you and your partner will choose a team of 5 to 6 dogs that will take you to the finish line. You'll be in control of your sled. Halfway through, you'll have the chance to switch places with your passenger. After the journey, we'll have time to warm up in a Finnish hut with (of course) a cup of warm berry juice.
Since the Sami (the oldest, independent, recognized people in Lapland) discovered this motorized vehicle, they let their reindeer roam free and traded their pulling power for some serious horsepower. Today, many of them use snowmobiles for their daily travels and a bit of thrill-seeking, but mainly to herd their reindeer.
After receiving clear instructions on how to safely operate these machines, we set off in pairs for a 20-kilometer journey through the Lapland landscape. Halfway through, we take a break to switch drivers.
* If you do not have a driver's license B, you can experience the ride as a passenger. Children from 4 years old can sit in a sled attached to the instructor's snowmobile. Children taller than 140 cm may ride as a passenger with an adult, provided the instructor agrees.
To get the best view of the northern lights, your guide will take you to a carefully selected spot. While we hope for a stunning display, it's still a natural phenomenon, and there's no guarantee that we'll actually see it. As we eagerly watch the sky, we'll make a campfire. Your guide will share fascinating stories about local myths and legends, as well as the scientific explanation behind this extraordinary phenomenon. In the meantime, we'll enjoy a warm drink, a roasted sausage, or some marshmallows.
Our own Lapland Travel guide will take you on a snowshoe walk through beautiful forests, along gently flowing rivers, and over frozen lakes. This way, we'll discover the winter wonderland that Lapland has to offer in its purest form.
Thanks to the snowshoes, we can effortlessly walk through the deep snow and reach places that are otherwise hard to access. The guide will show you various landscapes along the way and tell you more about the unique fauna and flora of Lapland.
During the walk, we'll make regular stops, for example, to build a fire and enjoy the peace and nature before continuing our journey.
