Flights

Our direct flights to Finnish Lapland are provided every Sunday by Brussels Airlines and depart from Brussels-Zaventem.

Outbound flight: Brussels-Zaventem to Kittilä: 06:25 – 10:45

Return flight: Kittilä to Brussels-Zaventem: 11:45 – 14:10

Airport transfers

Our transfers are aligned with the flight times and are included in the flight price. You'll be comfortably taken from the airport to your accommodation and back.

Transfer times:

  • Äkäslompolo: 1 hour.
  • Levi: 20 minutes.
  • Luosto: 1.5 hours.
  • Rovaniemi: 2 hours.

Luggage

Your trip includes a standard 23 kg checked baggage and 8 kg carry-on baggage per person. You can also optionally add ski baggage.

What documents should I bring?

For a trip to Lapland, your ID card is sufficient. Since we're traveling within the European Union, an international passport is not required.

Hotel stay

The direct flight from Brussels departs on Sunday morning at 06:25. To start your trip off relaxed, we recommend staying the night before at the Greet Brussels Airport hotel. The cost for this is 50 euros per person.

The hotel is only a 5-minute drive from the airport, and by taxi (around 15 euros), you can get there easily. This way, you'll leave well-rested and ready to kick off your adventure.

Additionally, the hotel also offers parking options: for 50 euros per week, you can safely leave your car there.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I check in (online) and reserve seats?

Yes, you can! We'll send you a text message once you can check in online on the airline's website about 24 hours before departure. This can be done on Brussels Airlines for flights from Brussels and Transavia for flights from Amsterdam. During online check-in, you can also choose your seats.

Can I bring ski/snowboard gear?

Absolutely! You can do this when booking for €50 per person. In that case, you can either bring 1 pair of skis, ski poles, ski boots, and a helmet, or a snowboard, snow boots, and a helmet.

How long does a flight to Lapland take?

The flight time depends on your departure point. Generally, a direct flight from European cities to Lapland takes about 2 to 4 hours.

What to do upon arrival at the airport?

Our Dutch-speaking guides will meet you at the airport exit, then they will take you to the transfers and will happily provide some explanations.

My name is misspelled on the tickets, what should I do now?

Send us an email right away at info@laplandtravel.com with the correct passport name. We'll change the name for you, possibly with an extra fee (this applies if e-tickets have already been confirmed).

I can't find the flights online, what's going on?

It's true that you can't find these flights online. That's because these flights are part of our organization and are charter flights. So, you can't find them publicly like a regular flight.

Which name should I provide?

The name you provide must be the official name as it appears on your passport. So no nicknames.
