Depending on your departure point, whether it's Brussels, Düsseldorf, or Amsterdam, you'll take a direct flight of about 3 hours to Kittilä Airport, in the heart of Finnish Lapland.

Once at the airport, after collecting your luggage, you'll be welcomed by our guides, who you can easily recognize by a sign saying “Lapland Travel” or by their jackets with our logo. They will escort you to the shuttle bus for your transfer.

When the whole group is complete, you'll head towards Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland. The ride takes about 2 hours, during which your guide will introduce themselves and answer any initial questions you might have.

Before heading to your accommodation, you'll also visit our local partner to pick up your thermal gear, which is essential for braving the Arctic climate.

After that, you'll be dropped off at your own accommodations. All you need to do then is settle in, relax, and recharge … before being immersed in the magical world of Lapland the next day.

Free morning

After your first night in Lapland, the day starts off peacefully. You have the entire morning free: the perfect opportunity to unpack your bags, explore the surroundings on a short walk, or simply enjoy the silence and nature around your accommodation.

Your guide will let you know in plenty of time when you'll be picked up for the afternoon activity and will also give you clothing advice. Don't forget to eat well: in arctic conditions, you burn energy faster than you think.

Afternoon introduction to snowmobiling (included)

This afternoon, your first adventure is on the agenda: a snowmobile expedition.

Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to our local partner. There, you'll receive a helmet and a brief explanation of the safety rules and how to operate the snowmobile.

You’ll pair up on a snowmobile and ride through the snowy landscapes for about two hours. Halfway through, you can switch drivers if you’d like.

We’ll wrap up with a cozy break and a warm drink to warm up before returning to your accommodation.

Evening ice floating

In the evening, you’ll have an extraordinary experience: ice floating.

In a special neoprene suit, you’ll slowly slide into a frozen lake, surrounded by snow and ice. At first, you'll laugh at the strange sensation, but soon you’ll feel a deep relaxation. You’ll float quietly on your back, free from everything, with only your breathing and the silence remaining.

You hardly feel the cold — just the rhythm of your breathing and the magic of the moment. And who knows… the Northern Lights might dance above you.

After a magical night in the heart of Lapland, you start the day with a new adventure in the white wonderland.

This morning, you can choose from two optional half-day activities:

Option 1 – Electric snow biking

Explore the Ounasvaara hill on an electric bike equipped with wide tires specially designed for snow. Glide gently through the snowy forests and then take a break at the top to admire the breathtaking view over the Rovaniemi region.

Option 2 – Horseback riding

Saddle up and enjoy a leisurely horseback ride along a frozen lake and deep into the quiet forest. The only sound breaking the silence is the soft crunch of snow under the hooves. A magical moment of connection with nature.

If you have booked both activities, they will be scheduled at different times in your program.

Free afternoon

The afternoon is all yours.
Wander around the cozy Rovaniemi, visit a museum, stroll along the river, or take some time to relax.

And... don’t forget to eat well—you’ll need that energy tonight!

Evening under the Northern Lights (included)

As darkness falls, your guide will pick you up for a Northern Lights expedition. The exact departure time depends on the weather conditions.

You’ll head to a remote location, far away from all light pollution. A campfire will be lit there. While sausages and marshmallows roast over the flames, your guide will share stories about the legends of the Northern Lights and how to recognize them yourself.

And then hopefully... suddenly, like a whisper from the universe—there they are.

After a night illuminated by the northern lights, you enjoy a free morning to rest and recover.

The day's activities start later, giving you time to catch your breath... before diving into the traditional Sámi world.

Afternoon Meeting with Reindeer

Around noon, your guide will pick you up to take you to the reindeer farm, an emblematic place of local culture.

Once there, you'll meet the local guides and your assigned reindeer, each with its own name.

Get settled into the sled for a serene ride of about 1 km through the snowy nature.

Back at the farm, you'll be welcomed into a warm kota where you'll taste a warm berry juice. The guides will share insights about their daily lives, the bond they have with their animals, and the ancestral traditions surrounding reindeer herding.

An authentic and warm immersion into Sámi culture.

Evening: Ice Dipping and Sauna Experience: The Finnish Ritual

In the evening, your guide will take you for a typical Nordic wellness experience.

For 1.5 hours, you'll alternate between the heat of the sauna and a plunge into the icy waters of the Kemijoki River, for the true adventurers!

For those who did not choose these optional activities, the day is free to fill as you wish. You might use the day to go skiing, for example!

Today features an absolute classic on the agenda: snowshoeing. This activity is included in your basic package — so put on your warm clothes and head into the forest!

Depending on the group's pace, you'll walk between 4 and 8 kilometers, alongside frozen rivers, over tranquil lakes, and to stunning viewpoints.

Along the way, your guide will share the secrets of the Lapland nature — from animals that adapt to the cold to trees that have stood for centuries. And of course, there will be a break with warm berry juice as a reward.

Back at your accommodation, you'll have time to have lunch, relax... or warm up in your private sauna, if you have one.

Afternoon visit to the ice hotel

At the end of the day, you’ll experience something special, almost like a fairy tale: a visit to the ice hotel.

Completely sculpted from snow and ice, this unique place reveals its rooms, bar, and restaurant — each adorned with ephemeral artworks of impressive finesse.

Your guide will first give you some explanations, and then you'll have time to explore this frozen masterpiece on your own.

And of course, you’ll wrap up the visit with an ice-cold drink at the ice bar… or maybe even kick off your night there, for those who choose to stay overnight!

Magical overnight stay at the ice hotel

For the most curious (and brave), the night continues here with a 3-course dinner in the ice restaurant, followed by a cozy sleep in a room at -5°C.

Located on the edge of a huge frozen lake, the place is also perfect for observing the Northern Lights… just a stone's throw away from your ice bed.

Morning: ice fishing

Your guide will pick you up for a morning full of either relaxation or adventure, with two options to choose from:

Snowmobile & ice fishing
Head out in a small group (max. 8 people) for an adventurous snowmobile ride through snowy landscapes. After about 45 minutes of driving, you'll stop at a large, frozen lake for an hour of traditional fishing. Then you'll return along the same route.

This activity is the more active version of the snowmobile trip included in your basic package. You'll go further, faster, and experience more adventure.

Total duration: about 3 hours.

Ice fishing by minibus
Prefer a more relaxed option? Then you'll be taken by minibus to a remote lake. You'll fish in a peaceful setting, with snacks and hot drinks within reach. Nearby, there's also a heated tipi for extra comfort — a perfect moment to chat with the guides about life in Lapland.

Total duration: about 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Afternoon: dog sledding

After a relaxing lunch break, get ready for a typical Lapland experience: a dog sledding adventure.

Your guide will take you to the husky farm where an enthusiastic pack of dogs is already waiting. You'll receive instructions on steering and braking, and then you'll set off — two per sled — for a 10 km ride through the winter forest. Halfway through, you can switch places if you want.

After the ride, there's time to warm up in a Finnish cabin with a warm berry juice in hand.

For this last full day in Lapland, there's room for one final dose of adventure, with two optional activities.

Discover the impressive Riisitunturi National Park, about a two-hour drive from Rovaniemi.

With snowshoes on, you'll trek through untouched landscapes, past silent forests and breathtaking viewpoints.

A lunch around the fire in a traditional kota completes this timeless day.

It's in this park that you can see the famous “tykky”: trees heavily bent under thick layers of snow — the iconic image of Lapland.

Option 2: Introduction to Cross-Country Skiing
Cross-country skiing is almost a way of life here.

Your guide will teach you the basics and then take you on the groomed trails of the Ounasvaara hill — perfect terrain for those who want to explore at a leisurely pace.

If you don't choose an activity, you can use your free time to explore the trails of Ounasvaara, do some souvenir shopping, or visit Santa Claus Village.
