If you don’t want to miss anything, we recommend arriving on Saturday and departing the following Saturday. If you choose to arrive earlier or stay longer, you can book extra nights on your own — these are outside our organization.
This way, you have all the freedom to extend your trip exactly as it suits you.

Direct flights and train options to Rovaniemi and Luosto

Below you will find an overview of the available direct flights to Rovaniemi for the 2026-2027 season from France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. Please note: this information may change. We recommend checking the current flight times and availability directly with the airlines.

 

Saturday – Saturday  

With Ryanair:

Outbound flight: Charleroi to Rovaniemi: 15:20 – 19:40

Return: Rovaniemi to Charleroi: 20:15 – 22:35

There are also other options available with flights from neighboring countries like Germany, France, or the Netherlands.

An idea for a possible route from Brussels:

  • Brussels → Hamburg
  • Hamburg → Stockholm
  • Stockholm → Helsinki (night ferry)
  • Helsinki → Rovaniemi (Santa Claus Express)

As soon as you arrive at Rovaniemi airport...

ROVANIEMI:

If you’re traveling to Rovaniemi with your own flights, you'll need to arrange your transfer to your accommodation yourself. There are several options available directly from the airport: shuttle buses to Santa Claus Village or the city center, as well as local taxis (like Meneva) or Uber.

Estimated rates:
Airport → City center: about €25-30
Airport → More remote areas: €40-60

LUOSTO:

If you’re traveling to Luosto with your own flights, the transfer to the village is also not included. We organize three shuttles a day that you can use for an additional fee. The exact departure times will be announced later. Additionally, there are buses running between Rovaniemi and Luosto.

The Santa Claus Express: Helsinki – Rovaniemi by night train 🚆

This comfortable night train takes you from Helsinki to Rovaniemi while you get a good night's sleep along the way. Prices (when booked early):

  • Standard seat: around €21
  • Two-person sleeper: between €36 and €43 per person
  • Single sleeper: between €95 and €114
  • Two-person sleeper with private bathroom: higher price

You can also make this journey during the day and enjoy the increasingly white landscape.

The Interrail pass can be a good option for a multi-destination trip at a lower cost, but keep in mind reservations and additional fees.
